How do I make a complaint against an ABC accredited facility?ABC investigates all complaints involving ABC accredited facilities or accreditation applicants that appear to be out of compliance with the accreditation standards. Please download the Code of Professional Responsibility and submit the Complaint Form, which is located at the end of the Code. You can fax these documents to (703) 836-0838 or you may mail them to 330 John Carlyle St, Ste 210, Alexandria, VA 22314, to the attention of Stephen B. Fletcher, CPO.
How do I contest an accreditation decision?If your facility receives a denied or deferred accreditation decision, you have 15 days from the receipt of the Summary of Findings to submit a written appeal. Your appeal must be mailed by certified mail, return receipt requested or by verifiable overnight express mail service to:

Your appeal must include the necessary evidence or relevant documentation supporting the basis of your appeal. If you do not appeal the decision within the 15 day time period, the accreditation decision will be final.
