The American Board for Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics (ABC) has issued a call for nominations to fill two Director positions on its board of directors. The position entails a four-year commitment beginning on December 1, 2007.
The directors will be voting members of the board and will participate in overseeing general management of the organization’s affairs, such as policy development and governance of the organization. Individuals nominated for the Director position must be ABC-certified practitioners who have past involvement with ABC programs.
All submitted nominations will be evaluated by the ABC nominating committee and by the board of directors. The selection process for ABC directors follows established norms for certification boards and is fully compliant with the standards of the National Commission for Certifying Agencies, NCCA.
ABC will review nominations submitted before June 1. For more information on the nomination process, contact Tom Derrick at tderrick@abcop.org.
