The American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics, Inc. (ABC) board of directors and Catherine A. Carter, Executive Director, are pleased to announce the appointment of Chrissy Heckenberg as the new Director of Facility Accreditation effective March 10, 2010.
“I am so pleased that Chrissy has joined the ABC staff. She brings a wealth of management and program analysis experience that will be a tremendous asset to our facility accreditation program,” said Carter. “Chrissy’s excellent management skills will ensure that we maintain our excellence in the accreditation arena and provide a smooth transition for our future growth.”
Heckenberg’s immediate focus will be on continuing the superior accreditation program that ABC has built over 60+ years as well as looking to the future in expanding ABC’s reputation for value and excellence in the marketplace. Heckenberg’s long-term goals for the department are to strengthen ABC’s accreditation team and enhance the level of service to our accredited facilities.
“I am thrilled to have Chrissy as a member of the ABC team,” D. Deane Doty, Jr., CPO, President of ABC’s board of directors, stated. “Her background and management experience will enable ABC to continue to grow our facility accreditation program and bring additional value to our credential holders.”
Heckenberg brings to ABC extensive management and leadership experience in the private sector. Before joining ABC, she served as Team Leader and Consultant for JP Morgan Chase in Phoenix. She also served as an Account Executive for Washington Mutual and was recognized for her excellence by her inclusion in the prestigious President’s Club for four consecutive years. Her background in team management, system analysis and her degree in Marketing from Villanova University, all point to Heckenberg’s ability to bring a high level of expertise to the position.
“I am thrilled to be a part of the ABC family and look forward to conquering the challenges that lie ahead. My goal is to make the accreditation process more efficient and effective for both our staff as well as our applicants. Expect some great things to happen!” says Chrissy Heckenberg.
Heckenberg replaces Scott Williamson who left ABC in March 2010 to join the Iowa based Quality Outcomes consulting group.
